Uptown Mosaic is a monthly online magazine that captures the vibrant, active lifestyle of its readers through original short fiction, feature articles about newsmakers and current events, critical essays, poetry, cartoons, photography and art.

General Guidelines

Uptown Mosaic Magazine accepts unsolicited submissions from both published and unpublished writers of original fiction, non-fiction, book excerpts, poetry, critical essays, photos and art. We’re looking for thought provoking writing that that examines society and culture in a way that’s challenging, fresh, innovative, irreverent, and hip.

We do not accept any submissions previously published or pieces simultaneously submitted to another magazine or website.

Word Counts

Submissions of Fiction and Non-Fiction must be 5,000 words or fewer.

There is no line limit for Poetry submissions, but we prefer poems be two pages or fewer.

Response Time

Average response time to submissions is 30 days.
